Pastel de nata are a traditional Portuguese pastry that can best be described as a kind of egg tart. A thick outer layer of flaky pastry filled with a creamy, cinnamon flavoured, yellow custard topped with a golden caramelisation. They are great cold but fantastic when warmed!
